I Met Brian Hawe when I was filming on location at Parliament square in London for my Documentary about the struggle for democracy in Burma. Brian stood side by side with the Burmese demonstrations. He dedicated his life to being the lone voice of protest directly outside the Westminster buildings exercising the vitally important right to protest and freedom of speech so important in this country whatever your views were on the Iraq and afghanistan wars. MP and Labour lerader Jeremy Corbyn paid his respects to Brian after his passing by campaigning and seeing to it that a memorial plaque was erected in Brians honour in the Westminster buildings.
